TheChemists Agent : Clive Underhill-Smith Biography The Chemists are Johnny Benn (Vocals), Sam James (Lead Guitar), Wayne Jones (Bass), Dave Betts (Rhythm Guitar) and Matt Albon (Drums.) Their next single “Hear Our Song” will be released on March 22nd 2009 single through Distiller Records; the band will soon be announcing a nationwide tour to support this release. The track is taken from their yet untitled debut album which will be released later this year. The band are from Bristol and have already supported The Bluetones, The Crimea and The Delays. The band cites their musical influences as, Queens of the Stone Age, The Pixies, The Police and Doves, amongst others. The Guardian music website, recently described them as, “invigorating fast-paced guitar-based sing-along anthemic rock.” The band rounded off 2008 by being invited on nationwide tours with The Music and Feeder, where they played over 30 sold out shows and received an excellent reception wherever they performed. |
