Biography

The Molotovs play twenties inspired bar room French pop music. No member of the band has ever made a concerted effort to do so, but somehow, the songs keep sounding a little twenties, a little rickety, a little dusty, a little French, and even a little Sinatra - all mixed with the indie background which they come from. The Molotovs have been playing live for the past few months, at which flowers are often present in one form or another, mostly around London and at a well received performance at Manchester’s In The City 08.

The band have been championed by London club night organisers and have appeared at many exclusive nights, such as the Lightspeed Champion album launch where they supported Dev and Alex Turner’s (Artic Monkeys) Pun Lovin’ Criminals. Their intricate, methodical and mature sound has already had them compared to the likes of Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes and British Sea Power.
